I. Product Overview
The precision filter serves as a protective component in water treatment systems, ensuring that the outlet water quality meets standards. Internally, it employs wound honeycomb-style cartridges or melt-blown cartridges for use in production water filtration, alcohol filtration, pharmaceutical filtration, acid-base filtration, and pre-security filtration for reverse osmosis (RO) membranes in industries such as drinking water, domestic water, electronics, printing and dyeing, textiles, and environmental protection. It boasts high flux, low consumable costs, and a polished or matte exterior with pickling and passivation treatment on the inner surface. The inlet, outlet, and drainage pipelines are equipped with automatic control valves and controllers, enabling automatic backwashing.
II. Operating Principle
Precision filtration employs molded filter media. The raw liquid passes through the filter media, leaving the residue on the media walls while the filtrate flows out through the media, achieving the filtration objective. Molded filter media include filter cloth, filter mesh, filter discs, sintered filter tubes, wound filter cartridges, melt-blown filter cartridges, microporous filter cartridges, and multifunctional filter cartridges. Different filter media have different filtration pore sizes. Precision filtration lies between sand filtration (coarse filtration) and ultrafiltration, with filtration pore sizes typically ranging from 0.1 to 120 micrometers. Depending on their physical dimensions, the same type of filter media can be classified into different specifications. Wound filter cartridges (also known as honeycomb cartridges) come in two types: one is made of polypropylene fibers with a polypropylene framework, with a maximum operating temperature of 60°C; the other is made of cotton wool fibers with a stainless steel framework, with a maximum operating temperature of 120°C.
