1.Overview

The fully automatic water softener is a new green, economical and safe soft water treatment system method developed based on national industry standards and combined with a large number of successful engineering practices. Adhering to the design principle of meeting end-user requirements, and incorporating raw water pretreatment and water quality monitoring and deployment systems, we select suitable equipment to construct a fully automated sodium ion exchange soft water system. It completely solves many problems caused by the high operating costs, frequent equipment failures, unqualified water quality, and mismatch between water quality and user needs that users have experienced when using a water softener alone in the past.
II. Operating Principle
The hydraulic control valve uses the kinetic energy of water flow to drive two sets of turbines, which in turn drive two sets of gears to rotate the water meter dial and control dial. The water meter panel accumulates the flow passing through it, while the control panel introduces the raw water pressure signal into a set of valve chambers through a set of channels. As it rotates, it opens or closes the pressure channels according to a set of rules, thus achieving automatic switching of a set of integrated valves. The QC-RST series water softener consists of two resin tanks (main tank and auxiliary tank), a hydraulic control valve, and a salt tank. The control valve controls the water circuit to switch between the main tank and the auxiliary tank, ensuring that one tank is always in working condition while the other tank is in regeneration or standby mode. The regeneration salt solution is inhaled by the negative pressure of the Venturi ejector installed inside the valve, and the regeneration and cleaning water is the softened water from the other tank. Different numbers of water meter dials are used for different hardness of raw water to achieve corresponding working and regeneration cycles. The hardness of water is mainly composed of cations: calcium (Ca2+) and magnesium (Mg2+) ions. When raw water containing hardness passes through the resin layer of the exchanger, calcium and magnesium ions in the water are adsorbed by the resin, while releasing sodium ions. The water flowing out of the exchanger is softened water with hardness ions removed. When the resin adsorbs calcium and magnesium ions to a certain saturation level, the hardness of the effluent increases. At this point, the softener will automatically regenerate the spent resin according to a predetermined program. A high concentration of sodium chloride solution (brine) is used to pass through the resin, allowing the spent resin to be restored to a sodium-type resin.

Key points of construction and installation

1)The pipeline should be equipped with force-bearing supports to prevent the control valve from being stressed.

2)When the inlet pipe of the water softener is connected to the domestic water pipe, a backflow preventer should be installed on the inlet pipe.

3)If the inlet water pressure is lower than 0.15MPa, pressure boosting measures should be taken.

4)The length of the blow-off pipe should be less than 6m; no valve should be installed on the pipe; The outlet should not be higher than the valve body, and the terminal opening should be avoided to prevent siphonage.

5)In addition to using a water softener with a hydraulic drive multi-way valve, a 220V power supply is required on site.

6)Do not use iodized salt, but use calcium salt as a regenerant.
